RebirthI dreamed of you again, last night, soft toffee  hair falling over your eyes as if to shield  me from the secrets hidden within.  
 
I tried to imagine you closer, to bring  
you within my grasp so I could wrap my fingers  
around yours. I held my breath and prayed for time.   
You walked up to me, placed your open palms  on the heat of my thigh and blinked me into existence.  And just like that, you were gone.   
Your encouraging gaze burned into my retinas,  fingerprints blazed through my flesh and fused to the bone.  Perhaps this is where I am supposed to begin. Rebirth

3 a.m.It’s three a.m. The rain smoothes out my existence in a trickle  of memory. A soft mentor tappa-tappa-tapping out resolve.   
I reach into the twilight and it curls around my palms.  Friend, I have found you. Acceptance, relief.  
 
You smile through my discretion and for a minute, I swear  I see my whole world in your fierce green eyes.   
This twilight smells like amber, tastes like sweat. Energy.  Eyes burning, fingers grasping, lips remembering the way.   
You told me once you knew the meaning of fire.  For a time, I had forgotten. And so I waited. 3 a.m.

ConsumePassion swells my mortality.  Burning through my eyes, glowing relentless,  it’s a wild lion, ravenous with desire.  Smoothing my tongue over my lips, I absorb it,  a bitter blood creeping down my jaw and gripping my burning heart.  I clench my teeth in defiance, but it’s not my voice it wants.  It rumbles through me, leaves me intense, dares me to deny it,  and should I ever throw at it shackles  it would rear its ugly head and roll like thunder.  There is no gauging the command it possesses –  the power it demands is enough to brittle my bones.  I have ceased as irritatio Consume

This girl is the same as her in the sense  that she is also a woman-girl.  A woman-girl with perhaps more  
woman  to her name then she realizes.   
On most days these two friends live  separately,  in lives of their own  in differently shaped circles.  But despite the physical distance  these girls have a keen sense for when  a few words  or a knock on the door are what's required  to keep the other

We don’t really love each other.
What happens when the summer’s over?
How long before distance becomes a chore?
I'm approaching with great, great trepidation.

Before you speak think about what your're trying to say.
Who else is there to blame for miscommunication?
You're getting caught up in the excitement.
You're making promises you can’t keep.
You need to leave all your options open.

Too much momentum.
This room feels like its going to explode.
Too many angles.
Too many factors to cover.
